3M wanted search engine visibility for a completely new dental braces product called “Incognito.” However, dental braces are a highly competitive search term dominated by 3M’s main competitor. We therefore suggested a Video SEO campaign that would achieve search engine visibility much faster than a traditional SEO campaign and which would visually promote the hidden benefits of the product
We conducted an extensive keyword research exercise and selected three priority search terms -“invisible braces”, “braces” and “dental braces”- as the phrases that would generate the maximum volume of qualified traffic within the shortest period of time. We then search-optimised the video and commenced the campaign.
Within 3 weeks of starting the campaign the video secured a page 1 ranking for the search term “invisible braces” and during the next few weeks of the three month campaign achieved front page visibility for the other priority phrases “dental braces,” (screenshot) and “braces.” The video has been watched over 12,000 times by exactly the right target market.
